Panic Time

I've got this great mental image of the bloggers that are rending their clothes over the current state of the campaign watching A Few Good Men. They all turned off the movie halfway through Tom Cruise's big monologue to blog about what a horrible legal strategy it was.

McCain's ABBA Defense

John McCain has used his POW status to deflect many issues in the campaign, even going as far as to use it to counter the Sturgis Beauty Pageant dust-up. All the while, of course, maintaining that he is reluctant to use his personal history for political gain. But let's be serious, this is his only response to virtually any criticism, including criticism of the fact that Dancing Queen is his favorite song. You have to wonder what happens when he forgets to take out the trash, or leaves a toilet seat up.

Lars Anderson

I'm staking out my place on the Lars Anderson bandwagon right now. The dude is just 20 years old and is OPS-ing 1.000 for the Portland Sea Dogs. If he's able to keep that up for the rest of the season, he'll be in very elite company. Look for him at Fenway some time in 2010.
